2024 Taste of Science Award Winners

The Taste of Science Prize returns for its fifteenth year. This award aims to highlight the best scientific works, available to everyone, without neglecting the young.

On Monday, June 10, 2024, during a ceremony held at the Paris Aquarium, the winners of Le Goût des Sciences received, from the hands of the Minister of Higher Education and Research, Madame Sylvie Rétilieu, the trophy that symbolizes science and knowledge: Reproduction Young owl (1918) by François Pomponne.

The Taste of Science Award, which is a literary award that aims to select and reward the best scientific works available to the largest number of people, is divided into two categories:

• Scientific Book Award, awarded to François Sarano and Boom Bernos, for Please draw me a sperm whale, Published by Sood Works.

• The Youth Prize was awarded to Sophie Blitman, Juliette Raffo and Claire Martha, for their work The Big Book of Extreme Animalspublished by La Martinière Jeunesse.

This award rewards a work intended for an audience between 9 and 13 years old, and of the three works chosen by the jury, it was a jury of children who named the winner: two classes from the sixth form from the College François-Marie Loisel of Plouaret (Côtes d'Armor). and a fifth-grade class from La Cerisaie College in Charenton-le-Pont (Val-de-Marne).
