Thirty-three small dollars. That’s what separates Tampa Bay Lightning from the $82.5 million salary cap that the National Hockey League has imposed.
Florida formation general manager, Julian Presbyoa, disclosed this information to Jean-Charles Lagoy on Monday. Suppose the lemon has been squeezed to the maximum.
“[Mathieu] Darsh wanted us to push the note and go to 0; I told him that if we hit zero, we wouldn’t have a goal for next year, and we wouldn’t be able to raise the bar, Brisboa joked in an interview with the show. GC. It just so happens that this year, we’re down to $33. We were at $712 last year, and $333 the year before. Every year we try to increase the space to use and invest this resource on the ice.
The hockey man may welcome the eventual maximum salary increase, which could rise by $10 million over the next few years (expected $92 million in 2025-2026 according to Sportsnet’s Elliot Friedman) as a boon. However, Brisebois sets the record straight.
“It will do us good, but it will also help the competition, it was accurate. All teams have the same advantage.
Brisebois touched on a host of other topics, including the look of Nikita Kucherov, who arrived at the camp in good spirits. Due to injuries, the Russian has not played a full season since 2018-2019.
“His work ethic is perfect. He has been on the ice all summer, six days a week, sometimes seven days, and he has had good flashes during pre-season games. I expect him to have a great season.”
