All police forces in the prefecture will be mobilized until November 1 to ensure compliance with the rules regarding vaccination passport in places that require it.
At least that’s what the City of Levis Police Department (SPVL) said in a press release about Operation Passport on Friday morning.
Thus, during this period, Quebec police officers frequently visit places where a vaccination passport is mandatory, dressed in civilian clothes or in uniform. Checks will be made with traders, but also with customers.
The primary objective of this large-scale operation is to positively promote good passport practices. However, the violation data can be given if necessary, it is determined.
Particular attention will be paid to verifying the proofs of the vaccine by the merchants, to formulate the record of customers’ attendance and good cooperation.
“The passport operation responds to the requirement for more stringent vigilance and control over government actions to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic,” the Levis Police Force said in a press release.
