After missing the entirety of last season in the National Hockey League (NHL), Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews aims to prepare for his first game in 2021-22.
That’s what he said Thursday, when asked about his presence on the ice on October 13, in a showdown against the Colorado Avalanche.
He said, from the first day of his team’s training camp.
“I just try to do the right things, watch videos and think about hockey. That’s my plan. Love [jouer le premier match], but I am currently confirming tomorrow for the time being.”
Last June, the midfielder revealed that he had a type of chronic fatigue syndrome linked to the immune system. That’s why he missed the entire recent NHL campaign.
In his career, the third overall pick in the 2006 draft had 345 goals and 470 assists for 815 points in 943 games.
