The Winnipeg Jets are reportedly considering playing their next home game in Saskatchewan.
The Manitoba team will consider this possibility due to the health measures imposed in their province, which prevent them from playing in a stadium full of capacity.
According to Sportsnet, the organization has already contacted season ticket holders on Thursday night to provide their opinion on the matter.
Should such a scenario materialize, the Jets would play their home games at the SaskTel Center, an arena that can seat just over 15,000 people in Saskatoon.
Saskatchewan is one of the few provinces in Canada where there are still no announced restrictive measures to restrict or ban large gatherings, as there are elsewhere, including Quebec. This situation forced the authorities of the National League to postpone several duels scheduled in Canada during the first half of January, including the duels of the Montreal Canadiens.
According to Sportsnet, that scenario is still a long way off for the Jets, but the Jets are doing the work needed to get there, while they wait for restrictions in Manitoba to be eased or lifted.
