The Lion Electric CompanyThe manufacturer of all electric medium and heavy-duty vehicles announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Cox Automotive Mobility Group to provide rapid roadside assistance service to Lion customers across the United States.
The partnership follows a pilot plan between the two companies launched in 2021 and has provided satisfaction to every party involved.
The deal gives Lion customers access to Cox Automotive Mobility’s 25 service centers and more than 1,000 technicians and 800 field mobile service trucks.
Cox’s services will complement the support already provided by the Lion’s Experience Centers network, designed to serve as local hubs for electric transportation service, distribution, training and promotion. Through them, Lion will provide Cox technicians with in-depth training on its products, including servicing high voltage systems.
“As Lion’s customer base in the United States continues to grow and the electrification of medium and heavy vehicles continues to accelerate, it is important to expand our support network to provide additional options and facilities to provide our customers with a better experience,” said Mark-Andre Page, Vice President, Business Operations at Lion.
Terry Rivers, vice president of service technology training for Cox Automotive Mobility, believes this is a successful scenario: “More trucks and buses are being converted to electricity. Practical expertise in this area is a valuable asset to our maintenance staff so we can all be at the forefront of the operation.” Noted.
