Status? The car is somewhat autonomous. This recreational viewing capability can only be activated when the car is in “Level 3” autonomous driving mode, i.e. driving without supervision under certain conditions. The driver must be ready to pick up the wheel as soon as he is ordered to do so.
Level 3 Autonomy
Dedicated to some high-end models (Mercedes S-Class, Audi A8, latest Tesla) until recently, the Level 3 automatic driver is set to be rolled out in the future. It should be noted, however, that at present, European law does not allow its use on the road. An adaptation in this direction is planned for next summer, subject to certain conditions: up to a maximum of 60 km / h and on the route provided by the Central Perm, which is off-limits to pedestrians and cyclists.
No longer part of the EU, does the United Kingdom want to move faster towards the recognition of these autonomous cars?
Restrictions
Currently, cars equipped with an on-board TV receiver or multimedia content application must be equipped with systems that prevent the screens from being broadcast at a distance that the driver can reach while driving. Allows you to display different images depending on the viewing angle, either by blocking the application or through bilateral screens. The driver can navigate while the passenger is watching a movie (for example).
