The English Cinema Association has confirmed the implementation of the digital identity card. Simply put, it would be legal to prove your age with a digital document without having to present a health condition to watch a movie with an age limit. Digital ID is coming to UK theaters
If the government in France is not ready to switch to a digital identity card, it is not in the already accepted UK. This new way of proving one’s identity has recently shown interest in cinema.

Customers 13 years of age and older can use their smartphone to prove that they have reached the age of viewing the image in question. By scanning the body ID card or passport and taking a selfie, the application will provide you with a QR code that will officially confirm your identity upon scanning.
Note that the use of a special application verified by the British Government is mandatory. In other words, storing your ID in your iPhone’s wallet is not yet possible, as it already is in some states in the United States.
