The iOS 16 beta has been available since July 11, and it introduces a lot of new features, including a new lock screen that Apple is well touting. There are also dozens of very small practical jobs, about which the brand did not communicate much.

7 – Haptic feedback on the keyboard
On Android, it has been possible for several years to make the keyboard vibrate just by pressing a key. It wasn’t fun at first, but it became so over time, thanks to the advent of tactile actuators that improve vibrations and give the impression of really pressing a key.
iOS 16 allows you to do the same on iPhone. This is an option to activate in the settings, but once you select it, the smartphone vibrates quite a bit when typing. For our part, we love it.
8 – iPad screen can show more things
A novelty reserved for iPads, also stolen from Macs, and the ability to enlarge the available surface on the screen. How it works ? Icons and text get smaller, to make more room for other items. If you have good eyesight and want to multitask Training Managerthat can be very useful.
9- Voice memos change the design of iMessage
True False Novelty: Voice memos are now hidden in the Apps section of iMessage. When you click on the blue icon dedicated to Voice Memos, you get access to a true full screen interface, which was not the case before. Unfortunately, there are no other new features. We still can’t listen to a message before it’s sent or only edit part of it.
10- Masked photos protected by Face ID 😏
Good news if you have Nudes Important photos to hide, iOS 16 password automatically protect some folders in your photo library. It is now impossible to access hidden photos or in the trash without going through Face ID, Touch ID, or your iPhone code.
Bonus: Other great little novelties
Since we couldn’t put everything into this selection, let’s mention some of the other new features of iOS 16 arriving this fall. These functions are already available in iOS/iPadOS 16 beta.
