Nadege St Philip, who was a weather presenter for years on TVA, has died of colorectal cancer at the age of 47.
She joined the network in 2006. In 2011, she was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer, which she battled for several years. She had to suspend her professional activities in December 2021, before receiving chemotherapy for a new cancer she was diagnosed with.
“A true sunshine, Nadège was known for her great kindness and generosity. For over fifteen years, this has been something special for our fans and our team members,” TVA said in a press release.
Many public figures expressed their grief over the disappearance of Mrs. St. Philip. “What a sad news. This is a talented young woman who will be leaving us very soon,” the mayor of Montreal wrote, Valerie Plant.
