If Kevin Magnussen remains on hold during the French Grand Prix, his current dynamic is good because he scored points at Silverstone and then at Austria before. The Haas F1 driver is now approaching Hungary, where the temperatures already promise a major physical challenge.
“It looks like it’s going to be very hot and Hungary has a tough circuit, and there’s no time to breathe with these very short tracks. It’s going to be a physically tough race because of the heat wave. The heat that’s affecting Europe right now, it’s going to be very complicated. I think the car will behave well, This has been the case on different types of tracks so far.
“I’m enjoying this circuit, it feels like karting because there are corners all the time. It’s fun even if it’s hard to get past, so you have to qualify well if you can. It’s obviously going to be a highlight of the weekend.”
When assessing the first half of the season, Magnussen retains plenty of positives while his return to F1 created the surprise at the start of the year.
“The first part of the season was very interesting. Of course I had no expectations because I didn’t know I was going to race, but everything went well. We have a good car and sometimes it’s because of bad luck that we failed to score points, but the trend was reversed. Recently “.
“I would say my best moment was the first race in Bahrain, not only because I was surprised to come back but because of the very good result we got. Worst moment? Nothing.”
The Haas F1 driver already knows how busy he will be during the summer break: “I will definitely go sailing in Denmark with my family and enjoy the water, I will rest and disconnect from the race.”
