Nick Suzuki, Joel Jeremiah and Emil Heinemann will not accompany their Montreal Canadiens teammates to Gander and Newfoundland and Labrador, as all three have upper body injuries.
The three men were in uniform on Tuesday, in a 5-4 loss to the Ottawa Senators. In the case of Suzuki, Wednesday’s confinement said his situation is being reassessed daily.
The captain also collected two assists during this meeting, one on a goal from Armia.
Gander, like Bucktosh, on Saturday in New Brunswick, will be the scene of National League preparatory meetings after winning the 2020 and 2021 Kraft Hockeville competitions.
The Canadian will try to win their first pre-season game after losing the first six. He will then begin his regular schedule against the Toronto Maple Leafs next Wednesday at the Bell Center.
