During the last campaign, i.e. 2021-22, the maverick had spent the second half of the season worthy of his immense talent. When Martin St. Louis took over the club last February, he restored the confidence of Coffield, which he had lost somewhere in the Bale position.
Remember that when St. Louis arrived behind the three-color bench, Coffield had only one goal in 30 games for Dominique Ducharme. Fitness Trainer president. Under the guidance of the legend who wore the number 26 during his long career, the red light flashed 22 times in 37 matches.
The prolific goalscorer has completely rebuilt his confidence with this glowing streak, and since the opening game of the current season has proven he’s ready for this year’s challenge.
To add weight to the argument above, note that Cole Caufield played a total of 80 NHL games, for a total of 29 goals.
So, isn’t it illogical to say that the dialogue about him, that he scored 30 goals, or even 40 goals, right? The numbers are now there to prove it, right?
Especially since the complicity between Captain Nick Suzuki and him is evident, both on and off the ice. Caufield and Suzuki have similar game intelligence and they complement each other perfectly, as do the Backstrom-Ovechkin duo.
