After the start of major renovations in 2020, Valérie Pecresse, President of the Ile-de-France region, opened the Charles Aznavour Cultural Space in Arnoville-les-Jones in the presence of Nicolas Aznavour, one of the singer’s sons. Mid-October 2022
In 1992, 30 years ago, Charles Aznavour personally came to open this cultural complex in the town of Val d’Oise. Then Arnoville’s first multi-purpose recreation center consisted of two rooms. Exhibitions, concerts and performances are regularly organized there.
Espace Charles Aznavour: 3 rooms for more culture
Today, after extension and renovation works, Charles Aznavour’s space has another room, in order to increase and diversify the city’s cultural offer. The complex can now accommodate up to 1,500 people.
Charles Aznavour’s space now consists of:
- Aznavour room intention to receive offers,
- basic, newly created, which exclusively hosts municipal and assembly events,
- Garvarentz . room which are intended to host public meetings or assemblies, celebrations, exhibitions and conferences.
As part of the cultural support policy, The district contributed financially to the renovation of Charles Aznavour’s space in the amount of 1.2 million euros.
In Ile-de-France, the region is actively involved in the construction, renovation and development of cultural buildings.
