Restaurant owners are ready to welcome customers into the new year, after two difficult years of the pandemic.
“finally!” Alexandre Cosset, Director of Marketing at Gray Collection breathes, “It’s as much as our teams are happy to find customers, as we are to see consumers who come back.”
This time last year, restaurants had to close due to curfew.
Alan Creighton, Alexander’s owner, is still reeling from that decision.
“It’s so much better than last year when they brutally locked us at 5 o’clock at night, it was horrible,” he says.
December 31st is an important day.
“We’re really in the top 5 parties of the year,” says Benjamin David of Lloyd’s Restaurant, despite last-minute cancellations.

With the festivities canceled in the Old Port of Montreal, some restaurateurs have decided to take over.
In 2023, restaurateurs want to end labor shortages and bogus reservations.
