The Destruction of Pol d’Or: Relief of Sanctions in Cégep Beauce-Appalaches

The Quebec Student Sports Network (RSEQ) on Friday reduced penalties for the Condors football team from Appalachian Seagulls, following the destruction of the Pole d’Or last November.

The institution appealed the federation’s decision in mid-December. Three independent referees met earlier this week and removed sporting penalties from the penalty package.

Thus, the formation of the team regained the right to participate in the playoffs and the championship game for the next season. So it will go up to Division 2 because of its performance over the past two years.

“We are glad we were finally able to put an end to this unfortunate event. We want to leave an unfortunate event behind and we want to move forward and face the challenges that lie ahead.
