The penguins posted videos and photos of the prank on their Twitter account.
Leaving the team’s training center, the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, in Cranberry, a suburb of Pittsburgh, we see the 23-year-old Quebec running back Chad Rohwedel, who tells him his car was filled with polystyrene beads, often used to protect things in transit.
Joseph then walks over to his car and discovers that it has been invaded by the Tangled Balls. Disappointed, he opens a door and little white things fall out and cover his feet.
His teammates filmed the scene laughing and mocking the former Charlottetown and Drummondville Voltigeurs defender.
“But what have you done to people?” Joseph asks.
In a photo posted by the Penguins, defenseman Christopher Letang appears to find the joke quite funny.
“Total coffee aficionado. Travel buff. Music ninja. Bacon nerd. Beeraholic.”
