The officers were simply trying to pull him over because sparks were flying from the rear wheel. The man was driving on a flat tire and the metal part was corroding on the ground.
The octogenarian who was driving did not want to stop, however, and showed the images from the police patrol car’s camera.
The police can be seen following the car, and sparks literally set the car on fire. Again, the driver seems to want to continue on his way.
However, the flames became too significant and he had no choice but to stop. The police managed to extricate the man at the last moment.
“Last night, shortly after 9 p.m., the Kenosha Police Department observed a vehicle driven by a flat tire with sparks coming from the wheel,” Kenosha Police told Reuters.
According to the police, no one was seriously injured.
