The intervention of an ambulance for a patient who died in Bose in June 2022 is heavily criticized, when in a video we see two paramedics “run away” the patient twice.
On June 27, 2022, in Saint-Joseph-de-Bose, two Cambi paramedics were called to the home of a 52-year-old man in cardiac arrest.
A neighbor of the deceased filmed the scene.
In the pictures we see the paramedics ‘escaping’ the patient twice.
We see that they are having difficulty placing the deceased on a stretcher.
Two neighbors offered a helping hand to help paramedics position the man.
Cardiac maneuvers are performed on site.
“It makes no sense to treat a human being this way!”
The 52-year-old’s mother called and submitted his photos to TVA Nouvelles. She wanted to express her displeasure and indignation.
“I was in so much pain and then I said to myself that there is no sense in treating a human being in this way. What would have happened if the two men opposite had not come down to put my son on a stretcher? “This is what amazed me,” said the mother of the deceased, Pauline Gagnon.
The lady filed a complaint.
A letter written by CIUSSS Chaudière-Appalaches indicates that an investigation has been carried out and that a meeting has been held with the concerned workers from the ambulance company.
Corrective actions have been implemented.
A welcome program for new staff will be promoted to ensure a good understanding of the material.
