During an interview on My Love Letter to Wrestling with Mark Andrews, the WWE Intercontinental Champion – Gunther – revealed his desire to face Brock Lesnar in England. He tells us:
“I needed that moment with Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble. I didn’t think we were going to have a lot of action together, just have a little brawl and all that…the timing and reaction of the crowd was what I needed. Look at how people are on the Internet, people get excited easily. , but often the internet is not hyped.
Unlike America, especially in England, people understand competition. They don’t expect fireworks right away, they watch the game, take it as a competition and react emotionally. We had a lot of success at Clash at the Castle and now that we’ve brought the money to the bank, I hope it becomes a tradition for them to go to Europe for the big events.”
The ring general previously said that meeting Brock Lesnar at the 2023 Royal Rumble confirmed that the WWE Universe wanted to see the match.
