Recently, Metallica played two massive shows in the UK during Download Festival, and apparently it was very loud.
According to Derbyshire LivePolice have received several calls from local residents about noise from the annual music event in Donington Park.
On June 8, Metallica was reportedly heard as far away as West Hallam, northeast of Derby, 15 miles from the festival. People have reported hearing music 12 miles away in Hilton and 10 miles away in Mackworth.
Very strong winds and an enhanced sound system may have contributed to the distance traveled by the noise, the report said.
Around 100,000 people are expected at Download 2023, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year with a special four-night festival (which ends tonight).
In other Metallica-related news, the band and its foundation have donated £40,000 to a charity supporting the homeless in nearby Leicester.
