An American woman has been found alive in a nature park in the northeastern United States, local authorities have announced, a week after she went missing after being “stuck in the mud for days”.
She was “conscious and alert and was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for observation,” police in Stoughton, Massachusetts, which conducted the search, said Monday evening.
She suffered “serious but non-life-threatening injuries,” said Easton police, who oversaw the rescue operation.
Missing since June 26
The 31-year-old has been wanted by police since her family reported her missing on Monday, June 26.
A week later, after unsuccessful search campaigns, he was found by hikers who heard screams in a swampy area of Borderland State Park near Boston.
