Pollinators hired through the “I Contribute” platform will receive a “ladder” availability bonus of $ 15 per day, which can reach $ 90. This measure is part of the most recent ministerial decree of the Quebec government.
“We do not object to this bonus for people who come from the platform I contribute to, but we can legitimately request equal treatment,” said SQEES-FTQ President of the Quebec Federation of Employees and Service Personnel (SQEES-FTQ) in a press release.
“Do the average employees, who have been carrying the health and social services network a long distance away, deserve less recognition than those who come as reinforcements?” She said.
Both SQEES-FTQ and the Regional Council for Social Affairs (CPAS-SCFP-FTQ) believe that they should have been informed of this action from the Ministerial Decree. The two unions say they were not consulted and that they did not receive a copy of the decree, contrary to custom.
