The name Logan Mailloux always gets reactions in Montreal. positive or negative.
Last year we mainly talked about him because of his performance on the ice. He had a great season in London in the OHL and established himself as one of the best defenders in the Canadian Hockey League.
Yesterday morning, Scott Wheeler published a list in which we found, according to him, the 50 best prospects in the NHL. The Canadian is well represented while David Reinbacher (20) and Lynn Hutson (27) are part of the standings.
The names of Owen Peck, Sean Farrell, Philip Messar, and Joshua Roy are all in the “honorable mentions” category…but Milo isn’t.
This prompted Tony Marinaro to message him and the latter claimed, in his latest podcast, that Wheeler sees the tall defender as a “B-class potential”. Simon “Le Snake” Boisvert was Marinaro’s guest on the podcast…
The latter, too, shares the same discourse with Wheeler. until that Boisvert believes that Logan Mailloux is not necessarily talented in terms of his skills :
Is Logan Milo underrated or overrated?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and in fact, Simon Boazviert and Scott Wheeler may have seen Milo play multiple times.
I respect their speech. but…
Me, I wonder what more Mallow could/should have done to rank higher on their respective lists. The defender scored 25 goals (53 points) in 59 regular season games last year, before adding eight goals and 24 points in 21 playoff games…
But that’s not the point either. We can only rely on a player’s stats to determine his value. However, the Knights matches that I had the chance to watch this year made me realize what great qualities a defender has, both offensively and defensively…
And his 6’3, 210-pound figure makes him a beast on the snow. Moves well, Logan Milo, for a player as big and strong as he is.
However, I get the impression that we haven’t seen anything from Maillou yet because we must also not forget that he lost nearly two years of development due to COVID-19 and due to a mistake made a few years ago.
I think it’s kind of hard, right now, to evaluate him because he hasn’t necessarily had the opportunity to show all that he can do on the ice since being selected in the 2021 draft. But, maybe I am too.
