Red Bull team principal Christian Horner was unimpressed by the recent exit of driver Sergio Perez.
The first free practice session for the Hungarian Grand Prix was marked by the exit of the new Sergio Pérez from the track.
The session had not even started for five minutes when the Mexican, clearly under pressure, had already sent his Red Bull into the wall.
This incident did not fail to react to Christian Horner, who is nonetheless one of the last few Perez fans within the Austrian team.
“Obviously it’s frustrating that this happened so early in the weekendcommented the Red Bull team boss. We have yet to collect the car but hopefully the damage is mostly contained to the front left hand side, which will hopefully be repairable in time for the next session. »
“I haven’t had a chance to talk to him yet, but I will after the session. Obviously, this isn’t an ideal way to start the weekend.”
At the other end of the pit lane, Daniel Ricciardo relaunched his Formula One career at the wheel of AlphaTauri, without putting a single wheel in the grass during the first free practice session.
