The man who made threats against Biden was killed by the FBI

(WASHINGTON) The FBI killed in Utah on Wednesday a man who US authorities have watched for months for making threats against Joe Biden, hours before the president was due to visit the western state.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, or federal police, said one suspect was killed early Wednesday when officers tried to arrest him in Provo, south of Salt Lake City.

The FBI added that the investigation was ongoing, without providing details about the man. The latter was identified as Craig Robertson in a complaint by federal prosecutors in Utah.

According to this document, the septuagenarian presented himself as a staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump, and repeatedly threatened Joe Biden in posts on social networks.

His deputy Kamala Harris, Attorney General Merrick Garland and Attorney General Alvin Bragg – who oversaw the investigation that led to the indictment of Donald Trump in New York – were also threatened, as were the FBI agents themselves.

Now is the time for a presidential assassination or two. First atmosphere, then perfection! ! ! said one of the posts.

“I heard Biden is coming to Utah […]. Flick of the M24 rifle. Hey, clown! Says another, posted a few days ago according to the complaint.

The man also published, according to the same source, numerous pictures of firearms.

President Biden is currently visiting the western United States and is scheduled to travel later Wednesday to Salt Lake City.

The Secret Service, which is responsible for protecting top state officials, said it was “aware of an FBI investigation of an individual in Utah who threatened a Secret Service protected person,” but did not provide any additional details.
