Bring me some popcorn, please…
Ryan Reeves’ comments caused quite a stir today. The Toronto Maple Leafs tough guy complained about the way Arber Cicaj approached him to “start” their fight on Wednesday night…
He didn’t say it publicly, but we understand the striker wanted Arber to ask him if he really wanted to start the fight before throwing down the gloves.
This is where things get difficult.
After hearing Reeves’ words, Georges Laraque took to his Twitter account (X) to talk about the situation.
Hey manYou hit Guhle from behind, you knew he (Xhekaj) was coming, you had a lot of opportunities to get revenge later in the match and you didn’t… – George Laracque
Wow 😂:
Bro, you hit Guhle from behind, you knew he was coming, you had several chances for a rematch later in the match and you didn’t take them… 😂🤣 https://t.co/4PSfC5bK4E

When one of the most famous tough guys in the NHL says things like that about you…
You know you’re wrong. That’s the beauty of it.
Ryan Reeves missed an opportunity to close the door for real. It’s not like he won the battle against Xhekaj, after all…
We agree that Ryan Reaves should have known because he already has a lot of experience (and fights) in the National League.
He should have realized that his gesture would not go through as he knew very well that Xhekaj was in the lineup.
Moreover, George was right when he said that Reeves had an opportunity for revenge. He looked like a man who did not want to create anything in the following sequence:
Reeves said today that Chicaj “knows where to find me”, but he did not seem too keen on “finding” Arber when he left the box, he noted. @TonyMarinaro In our conversations on @thesickpodcasts Wednesday night. https://t.co/O7fAJoHZiT pic.twitter.com/6ptkLlMJuf

This adds fuel to the fire and honestly, it’s perfect as is.
The showdown between the Leafs and CH, scheduled to be held at the Bell Center on March 9, 2024, is likely to be a very exciting one…

– That’s logical.
The shortest shift Jack Hughes made in the first period was 45 seconds.
Other than that, he was basically out on the ice for about a minute or so each shift.#NJDevils pic.twitter.com/z7ov0XU93g
