Actor Luc Sinai and his wife, director Janie Gaumond-Brunet, don’t regret their decision to go nomad for almost a year.
In 2020, the couple made the decision to give up everything they owned, including their Shefford residence in Estrie, not to settle into a smaller house or flat, but to move full time in a van a few years later.

“Seeing so many good friends leave before the age of 65 makes you realize a lot of things,” the actor said. Newspaper On the sidelines of his conference at the Salon du VR de Québec last weekend. “We can’t know when we will leave, so we have to enjoy life before it’s too late.”
Take time
Nearly a year after adopting the lifestyle, the duo hasn’t looked back.
“When we make time to travel, we make time to meet new people, which I do today, but never did in my life,” Luke Sinai says.
He also explains that this is one of the things he particularly appreciates about his new lifestyle because he was often in a rush in the past.
“The beautiful thing about this way of life is that you can stop and make time to live. We are the ones who decide what we do, where we sleep, and this allows us to really appreciate life,” he added.

This does not mean that they are no longer working, although they still spend about 80% of their time at work.
