Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, was honored this Friday, December 1, as an outstanding citizen by the Georgia General Assembly. The artist himself announced this information through a video on his social networks.
Davido continues to receive tributes from the state of Georgia in recognition of his major influence in the music world. Days after the city of Atlanta officially instituted “The Davido Appreciation Day” to recognize his significant contribution to the development of the city, the Nigerian singer was once again honored by the Georgia General Assembly.
In fact, the artist was invited to attend a meeting of the General Assembly of Georgia on Friday evening, December 1st. During this session, he was given an honorary special, which he himself had previously shared on Twitter on his social network X.
“This morning, I attended a meeting of the US Georgia General Assembly to be recognized by the Georgia House of Representatives and the Georgia State Senate as an “Outstanding Georgia Citizen”… God is good,” the “Available” singer wrote.

As a reminder, this new distinction for the Nigerian singer comes days after he successfully held the first edition of his urban music festival called AWAY Festival. The event was attended by people and became a huge social celebration that helped boost the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Davido’s hometown, Atlanta, located in the state of Georgia, USA.
