United Kingdom: Banksy's work stolen from the street – (France 2)
Rarely claimed by the street artist's Instagram account, the work was stolen from passers-by.
A stop sign by street artist Banksy featuring three military drones has been stolen from Southampton Way, south London. Londoners barely had time to appreciate the artist's latest work before it disappeared. The theft took place in broad daylight on Friday, in full view of passers-by. The video shows a man getting on a bicycle, using simple pliers to remove the panel and flee. Banksy posted photos of the group just hours before approving his work.

The artist is already a victim of criminals. In 2018, he created a mural at the gates of the Bataclan as a tribute to the victims of the attack. It was stolen a year later, found in Italy, and three thieves from Lyon were sentenced to prison. That same year, his painting of a rat was cut by a cutter near the Pompidou Center. The road sign thieves have never been caught. The anonymous artist never reacted to these thefts, not even registering a complaint. Banksy's works have sold for the highest prices, his record, Woman with a Balloon planned to self-destruct and later sold for 21 million euros.
