In front of a packed crowd, the Qataris won 3-0, especially thanks to double goals from Akram Afif (45', 90+6') and Almoz Ali (56'). A win would allow Qatar to top Group A ahead of a match between China and Tajikistan.

In Group B, Australia dominated India 2-0. The Australians had to wait until the second to break the Indian deadlock with goals from Jackson Irvine (50') and Jordan Bose (73'). With three points on the clock the Socceroos take control of the group.
