The Laval Rocket has so far had a two-part season.
In fact, the first quarter of the Rocket's season was simply terrible.
While expectations were very high for the team, given all the new talented young players as well as the veterans, the club was disappointed by numerous defeats.
Laval even found themselves in last place in the entire MLS.
It was a rather embarrassing, worrying and upsetting situation as we began to wonder whether this climate of non-win was harmful to young people.
Finally, in the second quarter of the season so far, things have settled down a little too much.
Jean-François Houle's team took over and began to rack up several impressive victories, giving the team confidence.
Arber Xhekaj's arrival to the bottom clearly helped the team.
Morale was at an all time low and hence, these few wins ended up boosting the team's collective confidence and a very good chemistry was created in the locker room.
Thus, the Rocket moved from last place in the AHL to currently third in their division, while the club has a record of 8-1-1 in its last ten games.
In short, things are back on track, much to the happiness of the organization since this greatly benefits the development of young aspirants, including in particular Logan Maylox.
In fact, the 20-year-old defender is currently on fire, while having a solid rookie season among the pros.
In his last ten games, Maylox has scored 11 points.
He also caught a pass last night at The Rockets lost 4-2 to the Syracuse Crunch.

It was the sixth straight game with at least one point for Melox.
In short, the imposing 6-foot-3, 220-pound defenseman is currently developing very well in the MLS.
With 27 points (10 goals, 17 assists) in 39 games, Maillox ranks 12th in points among AHL rookies, and second among defensemen.
This is therefore solid production for a 20-year-old defender who is making his professional debut.
Production continues despite Arber Xhekaj being recalled to Montreal.
It's all really encouraging for the development of Mailloux, who is, incidentally, one of the best prospects at CH at the moment.
His potential is very high in my opinion if he can improve his defensive game.
He'll certainly be eligible for some NHL action with the Canadian this year, and next season, he could join the club.
However, his spot will not be awarded and will have to be earned given the large number of defenders who will be fighting for a spot in Montreal.
In short, there was a lot of talk about it initially for the wrong reasons, so it's time we talked about it for the right reasons.
It will be interesting to see him pitch in the American League All-Star Game.
