Drew Barrymore has told her show host Ross Matthews how she was scammed by a scammer on a dating app.
The actress and talk show queen said she was thrilled when a professional athlete sent her a message on her online dating profile. “This guy on my dating app said he was the quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams,” Drew Barrymore revealed, adding that she then sent the man an enthusiastic response.
“I wrote to him and said, ‘Oh my God, I went to my first practice match and I was so frustrated being a girl from LA who loved soccer and didn’t have a team,’ and then I moved to New York and we had two teams,” she continued. Nice to meet you, my name is Drew.”
Unfortunately, Drew Barrymore's football fantasies came to a halt shortly after, when the man told her he lied about his job to get her attention – and was actually a struggling musician. “He's a musician who thinks he's cool,” she explained.
She added that it was only when the man called her “Droski”, in a somewhat sarcastic way, that she completely turned on him. Drew Barrymore concluded his speech with a scathing message to the camera, directed directly at the liar in question.
“I hate you,” she said. “You made me feel stupid.” I don't know who you are – I feel so stupid! Why did we have to leave the lie – I hate you! »
