After back-to-back losses to the Rangers and Flyers, Boston Bruins coach Jim Montgomery raised his voice before inviting his players to a good old “line-to-line” session during his people's practice, Monday afternoon.
” Wake up the ***! », Montreal shouted at its players before a long trip that included many insults. Montgomery led an intense workout that included several off-puck skating drills.
“I hated the way we finished the game in Philadelphia… and we weren't ready for practice today,” Montgomery said after the session. “These things came together. I take responsibility for that. The players must also bear their share of responsibility.”
“I don't think we're ready for the playoffs,” Montgomery added. “We must continue to test and we will continue to test.”
The Bruins will be busy with their next five games, all of which will be played on opposing ice, against the Panthers, Lightning, Capitals, Predators and Hurricanes.
Jim Montgomery was not happy with this latest training.

The message the head coach sent seemed to have been well heard by his players in the locker room.
“Every day we have to be very attentive. We weren't like that today, so Monty reminds us that the expectations are high here. It's completely justified, especially with the games ahead of us and where we are in the season,” captain Brad Marchand said.
