112 migrants on the boat
At dawn, the sea is calm, the wind is moderate, but the boat is heavily loaded: 112 people, crammed together. The canoe hits a sandbar and leaves. A panic ensues. Some of the emigrants continue on their way. 47 people were brought ashore, including four hospitalized. For the mayor of Wimereux, these shortcuts are unacceptable. There are a lot of traffickers in this area. The delivery of marine equipment was intercepted by the police. Since January, 6,200 migrants have successfully crossed in makeshift boats.
