Quebec celebrates theatre
The Théâtre International de Carrefour launches in Quebec on May 23 with 10 in-house performances from here and elsewhere, but all united by a common theme: the search for identity. An intimate encounter with a great author
Best-selling author Aminata, Lawrence Hill will be in Montreal this week for the launch of his new novel, Beatrice and Harry Fang, which has just been published by Mémoire d'encrier. He will talk with his translator, author Stanley Bian, about this extraordinary work, which lies at the crossroads of magical realism and science fiction, and which talks about racism and the search for identity, justice and healing.

Outdoor science
Eureka Festival! Came back on the 17thH Edition, from Friday to Sunday. This year, a large outdoor science festival will be held on the theme “Planetary Health”. Its free programming will educate festival-goers about the connections that exist between the environment, ecosystems and their health. On stage, we will be able to see microbiologist Chloe Savard (also known as Tardibabe, on social networks), who will talk about infinitely smallness, and explorer Mylène Paquette, who will raise awareness among the audience about sea pollution. Controlling a robot, doing archaeological excavations or making glue are just some of the many activities you can discover at the event site in Parc Jean-Drapeau.

Immersive comedy concert
Presented as part of the Montreal BD Festival, which will take place throughout the weekend on rue Saint-Denis, this immersive concert delves into Mathieu Babelette's futuristic comic strip, Shangri-La. The program includes projections of comics on four walls and performances by musicians playing the inhabitants of the orbital station where the last humans took refuge. The exhibition also received the 2022 NUMIX International Award for Best On-Site Cultural Experience.

Within a few years, if It will likely be a refuge film for many families looking for comfort.
