No new case has been identified in the province over the past three days.
“We had a very rapid decline and this is a good sign. This means that the virus does not spread very much in the community. We still have a lot of outbreaks, but we know we can control them. This is also encouraging, as is our very high vaccination rate,” the director explained Regional Public Health Interview with TVA Nouvelles, Donald Oppen.
Gatherings of 10 people of different addresses, or three family bubbles, will be allowed on Monday to meet in homes and on private land.
Occupants of three residences, with a maximum of 10 people, will be able to share a meal at the same table in the restaurant. Thus, the number of people authorized to attend a wedding or funeral increases to 50. While places of worship can welcome 250 believers.
“If we put in very harsh measures and things go well, with the level of knowledge about COVID that people have now, they will adjust their behavior to less measures. I would rather take it to give ourselves a little air while it is possible to do so,” Dr. Oppen said. We all need it.
Only the number of hospitalized cases remains high. The region currently has 26 active cases.
