Coach Dave Rennie told the team on Sunday that Australian pillar Daniela Dupu would start on Tuesday against France, the only change of the Wallabies’ opening XV compared to the first Test.
With the exception of Alan Aladdin’s bench, the coach relied on the same team that beat France 23-21, changing the score after the siren after taking a 15-0 lead at the start of the match.
Tubu, nicknamed “Tongan Thor”, was a decisive part of getting off the bench early in the first game.
“We worked hard and were in good condition. Lack of precision prevented it from showing up in Brisbane, but we showed a lot of character,” the manager said.
“We need to get out quickly, be more medical and turn the pressure into points on Tuesday,” Rennie continued at a news conference.
Starter James O’Connor is still missing after being treated for a hip injury.
