Presac. Art is displayed in the space of Santamaria

The Livr’et Society opened its book garage for you in August 2020, at 6 bd Aristide-Briand in Prayssac, thanks to donations. Books are sold at low prices with the aim of making them accessible to all and supporting cultural projects. One year after its founding, the association, in partnership with the association Villeneuve-sur-Lot in Byblos, will allow four artists to perform from July 31 to August 15 at the Santamaria Cultural Space, a place steeped in history. We will be able to discover the work of Papierart, a paper plastic artist, whose work lies between painting, sculpture and graphics. His abstract compositions, both in volume and in collages, emanate from sensitivity and intuition in the search for colour. Gyel, a self-taught illustrator, uses a solid acrylic color and thickness technique that reveals architectural elements, symbols, and chimeras where characters and landscapes are highlighted through additional features. Danielle Barland revives something at the end of his life. He collects everything, likes the thing, the shape, the size, the patina, the unusual, does not solder, glue or nails, and presents the object on a plate or support drawn with a preference for metal. It seeks creativity rather than creating an art object. Hervé Brisse presents a series of four large-format “December” paintings from photographs taken in the orchards of Lot-et-Garonne. This series refers to the quintessential 80’s wall decal images.

In addition, Livr’et organizes an exhibition of old and second-hand books on August 7 and 8 in the Maurice Faure district of Braysack and possibly under the hall. For the two advertised events, entry is free.
