Hayden was disqualified from the 50m final
In the men’s 50 freestyle, Brent Hayden failed in his attempt to advance to the final.
The Canadian finished fourth in his semi-finals at 21.82, tied with ROC athlete Kliment Kolesnikov. The two players signed for the ninth place in the fastest time, while only the first two players came from the final.

With a time of 8:12.57, she was more than a second ahead of Australian Ariarn Titmus and Italian Simona Cuadrella.
This was the Lideki’s second gold at the Games after taking the 1500m title and the eighth Olympic medal of her career (one in London in 2012 and five in Rio in 2016).
