With the start of the school year approaching, Safari is experiencing a new revamp. Once again, the Apple-designed browser is about to introduce some changes. It must be said that the recent modifications made to the famous browser of Cupertino company have made the followers of Safari interact to a large extent. So it wouldn’t be surprising if Apple chose to roll back by restoring some features from the past.
Apple listens to user feedback
In June, when Apple introduced iOS 15, the company was proud to reveal its new ideas for the default browser on the iPhone. One of the ads that made Safari users interact the most was the placement of the URL bar at the bottom of the screen. For 14 years, like most popular browsers, Safari’s URL bar has been placed at the top of the screen. However, for practical matters when using the browser on a smartphone, Apple explains that placing this item at the bottom will facilitate navigation.
However, the feedback from the first users who had the opportunity to test this novelty with the iOS 15 beta is not at all positive. Many believe this concept poses more problems than it solves. It also appears that the Cupertino company has understood the message since the old version of Safari came out in iOS 15 beta 6. However, for users interested in that URL bar at the bottom of the screen, Apple is giving the option to select the most appropriate option. Surprisingly from the Cupertino company, but yes, the Safari interface can be at least customizable. However, we lose the ability to quickly switch from one tab to another with a gesture.
