Micho’s walk will take place on Sunday, October 29 in Bromont, with the aim of raising money for the Oncology Department of Sherbrooke University Hospital.
The organizer of the Micho walk, Gilles Dulud, explains in an interview on the 8:30 p.m. program that the walk consists of “gathering as many people as possible” to raise money in honor of his sister, who has dementia. Lymphoma type.
“When you learn that someone you love has cancer, it hits you like a ton of bricks in the face. It took me a month to digest the news. After that, I wanted to carry a wave of love, I had to carry change. “We are creating a movement,” says Mr. Dolod.
When he talked to his relatives about this event, they realized it was a situation that affected a lot of people. “So, I decided to create a wave of love and support that you need for the fight of a lifetime. It is a symbolic march for several people,” he insists.
The meeting point to start the 45-minute ride is at 10 a.m. at Dooly’s in Bromont. Animations, speakers and certificates will be there.
