“I felt good, but even if we had the best legs, we needed a little luck and today it all worked out just fine,” said cyclist Hugo Hall.
His teammate, Michael Woods, played a big role in Tuesday’s win, protecting him in defence, but he’s not the only one.
“I always carry this chain with me and ask my brother to protect me because we take a lot of risks on the bike. It has become a ritual before every race, I think about him and ask him to give me the best and today it was a great feeling,” the Quebec athlete states.
A few meters from the finish line, Hugo Hall pointed to the sky and stressed his chain to think of his brother Beric, who died in 2012.
“Finally, to win this win I wanted to dedicate to him,” he said in an interview with TVA Novels.
