World Rugby has advanced one place to consolidate the top 5 in the world since France’s XV dominated Australia on Tuesday, according to a new ranking released on Wednesday.
The world champions, the Africans, still dominate the rankings, ahead of the All Blacks and England.
The Blues benefit from their first win in Australia since 1990, with the Wallabies (28-26) going from 5th to 7th.
They did not face the Australians on Saturday for the third and final game of the summer tour of the Southern Hemisphere.
France, now in 5th place, is ahead of Wales (6th), behind Ireland (4th).
