Entrepreneur and author Genevieve Everill, known as Miss Sushi at Home, announced Thursday that she was diagnosed with breast cancer while approximately 35 weeks pregnant.
She made the announcement in a heartfelt Instagram post.
We can see Genevieve and her partner Nicolas Lavoie laughing during the photoshoot to commemorate the pregnancy. The couple did not yet know that there was a lump in one of the woman's breasts.
“Today I am 34.5 weeks pregnant. A few weeks ago I felt a small lump in my left breast. I was not worried. I said to myself: Maybe it is the mammary glands, the milk, the hormones. You know, I am pregnant: zero pressures!”

Then, after a few weeks, the mass grew. So Genevieve talked to her doctor about it.
“She didn’t like what she touched, so I said something urgently. Today, I had a biopsy at CHUM to find out more about what was in my body: a cancerous tumor and affected lymph nodes! Pitch knowledge results will follow in the coming days (endless wait).”
Several personalities sent their support to the 37-year-old under the post, including Bianca Longpre, Nathalie Simard, and Jessica Parker.
