The White House said on Saturday that US President Joe Biden spoke by phone on Saturday about the situation in Russia with his French counterparts Emmanuel Macron, German Olaf Schultz and British Rishi Sunak.

The leaders talked about the situation in Russia. The White House added in a brief statement.
A White House spokesperson explained that President Biden, along with Vice President Kamala Harris and other senior US officials, were briefed on “the latest developments in Russia” as the Wagner paramilitary group waged an armed insurrection against Moscow.
“The president and vice president will continue to brief them throughout the day,” the same source said.
Previously, the head of US diplomacy, Anthony Blinken, spoke with his counterparts from the G7 countries, according to the State Department.
