For the first time, the Normandin restaurant chain collaborates with a public figure, in this case Bob Le Chef, to develop and promote its summer menu that will be available starting Monday, May 6 in branches.
The summer menu, which features about a dozen new dishes, will feature six signature Bob Le Chef dishes, including the Smash Bob, a Double Smash burger with fried pickles.
This project was called by Normandin's corporate chef, Denis Guérin, who participated in the game, Cooking alongside Bob the Chef means having fun.
“For me, Normandin is suitable excellent. My wife, Victoria Charlton, paid for her studies at CEGEP by working in Normandin.
“We're on the road often and Normandin is really our little restaurant. I was so excited when he asked me to do it,” said Chef Bob.
The star chef we know for his cooking shows doesn't just give his name. Natural and authentic, as on the small screen, he went into the kitchen with Chef Denis Guerin to develop new recipes.
“They literally locked us in the kitchen lab for a while. I had ideas on paper and we looked at the feasibility of the thing. Before Bob became the chef, I was a chef for 20 years. I love it, and I'm developing the menu,” he added.
The concept began with about two dozen offerings and ended with six signature dishes, although the summer menu includes about a dozen dishes, some of which feature Gaspésie lobster. No one has been forgotten, not even vegetarians since we thought of them with Poké Bob Végé.
“In the DNA of Normandin, we always add something new. We are traditional in some dishes, but we evolve all the time,” emphasizes Jean Julien, Vice President of Marketing at Normandin Restaurants.
