A video clip of a Vietnamese tourist trying to pass through the checkpoints at Ninoy Aquino Airport in Thailand while completely naked has spread on social media.
The 34-year-old woman, identified by local media as Thuitrang Nguyen, was detained by airport security because she had overstayed her visa.
She refused to pay the visa fees requested by the local authorities, who then refused to allow her to leave the country. After arguing about having to pay money to leave the country where she was vacationing, she went to the bathroom and came out completely naked a few minutes later.
“We don’t know why she did it,” airport police officer Michael Ronald de Guzman told Viral Press.
The security forces quickly arrested MI Local media reported that Nguyen was “in distress” and gave her her clothes.
“She seemed a bit nervous because she couldn’t communicate in Tagalog and didn’t speak English well,” added General Manuel Sikitin, deputy director general of security and emergency services, speaking to Viral Press.
MI Nguyen finally left Thailand the next day, after paying the visa fee.
“Total coffee aficionado. Travel buff. Music ninja. Bacon nerd. Beeraholic.”
