The spread of the Omigron variant has probably reached the United States. Dr. Anthony Fossie, a White House adviser on the epidemic, made the remarks on Saturday.

According to the latter, the existence of this new variant on American soil has not yet been discovered.
“If you have a virus, it shows a high level of contagion and when you see it spreading to travelers elsewhere, it means it’s going to go around the world.”
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have not yet identified any cases of Omicron variant in the United States. The company estimates that the presence of variation can be detected very quickly.
Dr. Fassi says there is no reason to panic, but insists that the Omigran variant should be taken very seriously. He said closing US borders to eight African countries was a prudent move in the situation.
