The question of a potential return for the Quebec Nordiques will always be talked about. This, even if the chances of success are slim to none with Gary Bettman at the helm of the NHL.
We know that even if a lot of people want to see the Nordiques return, the NHL doesn't see things the same way.
The best we can get is seeing the Kings come and play games at the Videotron Center during next training camp. But this is a more sensitive issue, you know.
All of this means that even if Quebec wants to participate in the next NHL expansion process and even if Pierre-Carl Péladeau is open to all possibilities to see hockey again in the city, the chances of that happening are slim.
When Gary Bettman names Cincinnati and Omaha before Quebec, it's not exactly a good sign. Omaha!
Press Conference @NHL
When asked about Utah State's interest in having an expansion team, Commissioner Gary Bettman said he would talk to anyone interested:
“Houston, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Kansas City,” Omaha later adds.

But good. The fact remains that despite everything, Pierre-Carl Péladeau will not, overnight, stop pushing to fill the Videotron Center with an NHL team.
And according to what Regan Tremblay said this morning in a text on the BPM Sports websitePKP is expected to get help in forming a union to bring the NHL back to Quebec.
Because yes, it might be done through a group of contributors.
All this means that, according to the veteran journalist, it is Eric Girard, Quebec's finance minister, who will help Mr. Péladeau create the consortium in question.

And 750 million in our old stadium… 💰

We clearly remember that it was M. Girard who brought Nordic countries Royalty in Quebec, thus passing a multi-million dollar bill to the people of Quebec in the process.
He also estimates the chances of seeing the Nordics again at 10%. Thanks to smart mathematical calculations. He was the one who ultimately failed to meet Gary Bettman in November, despite A.J interview Expected.
He is also the person who would have lost feathers in the eyes of Canadian conservatives after his decision to pay money to bring the Monarchs to Quebec.
So we can ask whether the person who is increasingly contested in Quebec (especially because of his presence in the CAQ) is a suitable ally for Pierre-Carl Péladeau, who will undoubtedly not have eight more chances to bring back the Nordiques.

– well said. It's not strange to see Sean Monahan in a Jets uniform, but it was strange for Serge Savard.
Come on Habs fans. Sean Monahan played 74 games for the Habs. This is a guy who looked really weird and “wrong” wearing a Jets jersey.😉 pic.twitter.com/XMHsvAZD2B
